Applications
ARBO immersible pumps are vertical centrifugal pumps that operate with liquid seals instead of mechanical seals. These pumps are constructed so as to immerse the impeller housing into the liquid. Thanks to the unique liquid seal, the ARBO pump will keep retain its suction capabilities up to 3 metres below the impeller housing, despite the lack of a mechanical seal. Moreover, the pump has no bearings or other wearing parts inside the pump housing and will therefore not be affected by dry running or pumping particles of up to Ø 4 mm in suspension. Abrasive media depending on the concentration and sharpness, can also be pumped without problems.
Close-coupled model DO
With this compact construction, the impeller is mounted directly to an extended motor shaft and therefore a separate bearing housing and flexible coupling are not needed. Thanks to this, the number of wearing parts is restricted to the motor bearings.
Advantages:
- No shaft seals
- No bearings in the liquid zone
- May be run dry without damage
- Maximum security against sucking air and leakage
- Standard product and rapid deliveries
- Little height needed above mounting plate
- Easy maintenance
Long-coupled pump Model DO-L
With this version, the pump is equipped with a bearing housing outside the liquid zone, creating maximum stability for the shaft and impeller. The bearing housing is constructed such that the shaft, complete with bearings, may be inserted like a cartridge. This creates the possibility of using longer shafts and moreover standard motors can be installed.
Advantages:
- Greater immersible depth possible
- Suitable for any drive and/or coupling
- ATEX versions available
- Replacing the bearings with ARBO pumps is a simple task
Floating versions Model D:
For fluctuating liquid levels, floating immersible pumps are available on a float made of PP. These pumps will rise and fall with the liquid level.
Advantages:
- Can be started at any level
Vertical centrifugal pump Model BB:
When space in your process tank is limited, a external version of the immersible pump is available. This “out-of-tank” version acts as a communicating vessel with the process tank.
Advantage:
- Same features as the immersible pump such as no wearing parts in the liquid zone and it takes up no space in the process tank.
