Applications
ARBO pumps can be used in any circulation system, filtration or transfer process where metal pumps are attacked by corrosive liquids.
The life span of industrial pumps is strongly reduced by wear, e.g., in the process industry, the galvanising industry or when used for salt water.
With ARBO pumps however, all parts that are in contact with the liquid are made from solid plastics. Thanks to the special tension-free production method, a superior chemical and temperature resistance is achieved.
The total absence of welds in the liquid zone prevents chemical stress cracks in the pump housings. As standard all parts are made from PPH, which covers a wide range of applications.
There is a new PPG material, which due to its glass reinforcement offers a much higher stability and may be used continuously at operating temperatures up to 100 ºC. Ideal for alkaline degreasing tanks or demineralised water applications.
For extremely corrosive mixtures up to 140 ºC, the materials PVDF or
P-TFE are recommended .
Should you have very abrasive liquids (high solid particle percentage) ARBO can offer impellers and housing parts made of RCH-1000 (= HMPE high-density polyethylene).
The pump shafts are protected by a replaceable plastic sleeve. The liquid will never come into contact with any metal parts.
Seals are made of EPDM as standard, but may also be Viton or PTFE-encapsulated materials.
